The Basics
These terms govern your use of sunlifefurnishings.com and your purchases from Sun Life Furnishings Ltd. By using our site or buying from us, you're agreeing to these terms. If something here doesn't make sense, email us at contact@sunlifefurnishings.com and we'll explain it in plain language.
What We Sell
We sell outdoor furniture, pergolas, shade sails, and related products and services. Product descriptions and images on our website are as accurate as we can make them, but colours may vary slightly on different screens. Dimensions listed are manufacturer-specified and may have tolerances of up to 1 inch.
Pricing and Payment
Prices on our website are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors — if we catch one after you've placed an order, we'll contact you before charging anything. Payment is processed at the time of order. We accept major credit cards and e-transfer.
Delivery
Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees, though we hit our promised window 94.2% of the time. If we're going to be late, we'll call you. Delivery fees are calculated based on your location and displayed before you finalize an order. Risk of loss passes to you when the furniture is placed at your specified location and you (or your representative) confirm the delivery.
Returns and Warranty
If a product arrives damaged, tell us within 48 hours and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. For non-damaged items: we accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the product is unused, unassembled, and in original packaging. A 15% restocking fee applies. Custom orders (including custom-sized shade sails) are non-returnable. Manufacturer warranties vary by product and are detailed on each product page and on the care card included with your purchase.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate delivery information, be present (or have someone present) during your scheduled delivery window, and follow the product care instructions included with your purchase. If a product fails because care instructions weren't followed (for example, using a pressure washer on teak that the care card says to hand-wash), the warranty may not apply.
Our Website
We try to keep the site running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Content on the site — including photos, descriptions, and blog posts — belongs to Sun Life Furnishings Ltd. You're welcome to share links, but please don't copy content wholesale.
Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim related to your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages. This includes, for example, damage to your deck caused by improper self-installation of a product we recommended for professional installation.
Disputes
If you have a problem, talk to us first — call (778) 426-7643 or email contact@sunlifefurnishings.com. We settle most issues with a conversation. If we can't resolve it, British Columbia courts have jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when. If we make a major change, we'll note it prominently on the website.
